ARIZONA– Following reports that the Trump Administration is attempting to eliminate the Department of Education and continues to make progress on fulfilling the tenants of Project 2025, Arizona Democratic Party Chairman Robert Branscomb issued the following statement:
“The Trump Administration is fulfilling their promise to enact Project 2025 and are ruining our economy. The latest attacks on the Department of Education disproportionately impact Arizonans’ right to a public education. While Arizona’s MAGA Congressmen David Schweikert, Andy Biggs, and Juan Ciscomani are crippling our economy and revoking our rights, our incumbent Democrats are prepared to exhaust every measure to protect Arizonans.”
Since taking office, the Trump Administration has worked to actualize Project 2025 agenda items including:
- Raise prescription drug prices
- Eliminate worker protections
- Promote and expedite capital punishment
- End birth right citizenship
- Eliminate federal agencies including FDA, EPA, USAID, etc.
- End civil rights & DEI protections
- Increase Arctic drilling
- Deregulate big business and the oil industry
- Ban African American and gender studies in all levels of government
- Complete ban on abortion without exceptions
