PHOENIX — Arizona Democratic Party Chair Charlene Fernandez released the following statement after Attorney General Kris Mayes successfully defeated President Trump’s tariff policy before the U.S. Supreme Court:

“Hard work pays off, and Arizonans are lucky to have a fighter like Attorney General Mayes who is willing to fight for what is right. As soon as President Trump implemented his tariff policy, Attorney General Mayes went to work to stand up for Arizona families and small businesses who she knew would only be hurt by increased costs. It may take time to undo the damage that these tariffs caused, but thanks to Attorney General Mayes, now we can start to rebuild.”
